Huffmans
Huffmans is a pioneering distribution company, inspired by the innovative spirit of the Wright Brothers, where they crafted the first practical aircraft, Huffman Prairie. Founded in 2016 by childhood friends Ramone and Gregor, Huffmans began with a simple conversation and a bold ambition to create a progressive platform that would introduce craft distilleries and producers in Scotland to the market. The founders, equipped with industry knowledge, fervent enthusiasm, and a touch of naivety, aimed to carve out a niche in a sector traditionally dominated by longstanding companies. Their business model, built on transparency, consistency, and ‘zero faffs,’ has stood the test of time, maintaining its core values and continuing to thrive by focusing on clear, straightforward principles.
My collaboration with Huffmans has been extensive and multifaceted, enhancing their market presence and brand identity. I have designed unique quarterly brochures with custom covers to highlight and promote their products and top brands, continuously evolving the format, template, and layout to keep the content fresh and engaging. Additionally, I have taken charge of producing and editing promotional videos hosted on their YouTube channel, as well as capturing and editing product photographs for specific brands. My role extended to creating compelling promotional content for Huffmans and managing updates for their social media and news outlets. Beyond these contributions, I have also designed the branding and social media content for their umbrella businesses, Craft56 and Boxworx, and developed the new website in 2023 to align with their updated branding strategy (which I haven’t been tasked to manage since then). My technical skills were further applied in troubleshooting issues on their eCommerce B2C platform and assisting with content and branding for GINPIN, demonstrating a comprehensive involvement in driving Huffmans’ digital and visual outreach.
