Stitched Stories

Stitched Stories is more than just a business - it’s a commitment to bringing second chances to beloved novels, cookbooks, and family heirlooms. As a brand that thrives on the concept of restoration and revival, the identity had to reflect that sense of warmth and care. Allie’s target audience includes men and women aged 20-50, and she wanted to attract individuals who see value in both preserving their memories and adding longevity to their favourite reads.

Brand Identity Development
The brand identity development for Stitched Stories started with a clear focus: the brand needed to feel personal, cosy, and timeless. I chose to work with a handwritten script for the logo and customise it to emphasise the hands-on, bespoke nature of the service. The curves and softness of the lettering bring a nostalgic touch, while maintaining modernity modernity through balanced lines and spacing. This nods to the age-old tradition of storytelling, while being accessible and inviting to a contemporary audience.
The colour palette was carefully selected to reflect the timeless nature of books. Fairytale-inspired hues, including mustard, light blues, and forest greens, creating an inviting and homely vibe.

Logo Suite & Branding Elements
The logo suite was crafted to allow flexibility and consistency across different platforms and mediums. The primary logo features the brand name in its full form with the custom details, while the secondary and submark logos use simple, circular and linear shapes directly created from book shapes and the act of flicking through a book - giving Allie the option to use these on smaller items like bookmarks, or as watermarks on her images.
In line with Allie’s desire to create a personal touch with every order, a bookmark-shaped thank-you card was designed. It features her social media handles and Etsy store information, making it both functional and a reminder of the special care put into each order. The bookmark includes whimsical details, symbolising the revival process of each book. These thoughtful details elevate the customer experience, transforming a simple thank-you note into a keepsake.

Packaging & Visual Touchpoints
For Stitched Stories, the customer journey had to reflect the same love and care Allie puts into each restored book. With this in mind, custom packaging materials have been designed, including wrapping paper, branded tape, all featuring elements from the logo suite. The wrapping paper pattern, which includes one of the logo marks, echoes the seamless blend of creativity and restoration.
The brand’s visual touch points were thoughtfully considered to bring a cohesive yet flexible identity that works across digital and physical platforms. Whether it’s an Instagram post or an Etsy product photo, each piece feels consistent with the brand’s story of restoration and creativity.
